Chuck Schuldiner's book

Email your order directly to Chuck's mom.

The price for the book will be $5 for the USA and $7 for Canada. Overseas the price will be $10 for each book. The cost will be the postage only!

Please do not send payment until you receive a confirmation email. The order will arrive approximately 2-3 weeks after payment is received.

Just a short reminder to not send checks, please. Not only does it take an extra 2 weeks for the check to clear, sometimes the check does not clear and Jane's bank charges her a fee for that. Also, only US funds.

Dear friends and fans,

During the spring of 2001 Chuck received a book written by a fan in Iran. This book is a collection of Chuck's songs in English and Farsi and is now in the library there in the poetry section. Chuck was so pleased about it all and considered it an honor.

I have been asked by the author if I would offer this book to the fans and friends here. Many of you have asked me to let you know if anything else is available concerning Chuck for your collection, so I am delighted to be able to make this 134 page book available to you.

The cover is a glossy black with a picture of the Death logo in red on one side and a picture of the cover of the album Perseverance in red on the other side. The price will be 20$ for the books with a cover in perfect condition, some of the covers were just a little bit frayed during shipment and these will be 15$ each. Overseas please add 4$ for shipping for each book that is ordered. *

I think you will really like this book for your collection and I look forward to receiving your order.

Sincerely,
Jane Schuldiner

* Note from EW: The books with a cover in perfect condition are sold out, but there are a few books left of which the covers are pretty damaged during shipment, hence the reduced prices. The inside is okay.

Slash after Guns N Roses

After his departure from Guns N' Roses, Slash focused on his side-project, The Snakepit, playing a few tour dates before disbanding the group in 1998. Over the next decade, Slash would become an in-demand session guitarist, recording music with the likes of Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, Insane Clown Posse, Ronnie Wood, Bad Company, Cheap Trick, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Rod Stewart.

In 2001, he chose to regroup Slash's Snakepit to release his second solo effort, the aptly titled Ain't Life Grand. The album managed to do well on the charts, reaching platinum status. To promote it further, Slash embarked on an extensive world tour with AC/DC in the summer of 2000.

In 1990, Slash collaborated with Michael Jackson on his comeback album, Dangerous. He performed guitar on two hit singles, "Black Or White"(song intro) and "Give In to Me". He later appeared in the "Give In To Me" video with Jackson and performed on special occasions during the massive Dangerous World Tour. In 1995, he appeared on stage with Jackson for the MTV Music Video Awards. Slash also played guitar in "D.S.", a controversial song from the 1995 HIStory album. In 2001, Slash once again collaborated with Jackson, on the Invincible track "Privacy". Also in 2001, he joined Jackson on stage at the Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Special performing guitar for "Black Or White" and "Beat It".

In 1995, Quentin Tarantino asked Slash to contribute music to his famed adaptation of Jackie Brown. Several Snakepit compositions can be heard throughout the film. In 1996, Slash collaborated with Marta Sanchez to record the flamenco inspired "Obsession-Confession" for the Curdled soundtrack. The song was received well by Smooth Jazz radio stations. Later that year, Slash also played live with Alice Cooper at Sammy Hagar's club Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The show was recorded and released the following year as A Fistful of Alice.

In 1997, Slash (alongside the late Ol' Dirty Bastard and hit alternative rock band Fishbone) appeared on BLACKstreet's rock remix version of their hit single "Fix". In 2003, he participated in the Yardbirds' comeback record Birdland, released on the Favored Nations label. He played lead guitar in the track "Over, Under, Sideways, Down." In early 2003, Slash also made an appearance at a rally to protest the coming War in Iraq called "Peace on the Beach." Specifically, Slash performed the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. Ed Kowalczyk provided vocals during this performance.

In 2002, he reunited with Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum for a benefit/tribute concert for Randy Castillo. Realizing they still had the chemistry of their days in Guns N' Roses, they decided to form a new band together. The band that featured Slash, McKagan, and Sorum also featured former Buckcherry members Keith Nelson and Josh Todd. Later Duff put out a statement that Josh and Keith didn't quite fit with the band, and they added Dave Kushner as rhythm guitar and, after a long search, Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland. In 2006, Slash performed a guest spot on keyboardist Derek Sherinian's solo album Blood of the Snake covering the 1970 Mungo Jerry hit single "In the Summertime", also featuring Billy Idol on vocals. A video was also made featuring Slash, Billy, and Derek for this song.

Electrocution 250

In the early 90s Todd Duane and Lale Larson performed a series of highly popular and virtuoso gigs throughout Europe as well as recording several instrumentals together, including 'Schizoid' (featured on Guitar on the Edge No. 4) and 'Double Delight'. After years of planning the time was finally right for Todd and Lale, together with ace drummer Peter Wildoer (Darkane, Time Requiem) to combine forces and record a CD.

The recording Electric Cartoon Music From Hell sounds like nothing you have ever heard before. This trio plays a mixture of instrumental rock, fusion, thrash metal and jazz. But most of all, this album will remind you of all those old ´Looney Tune` cartoons you saw as a kid. Enjoy these 38 minutes of pure entertainment.

A serius guitar virtuoso album with a crazy death metal parts. The most weird crazy album i have ever heard.A lot of kind of music with a lot of cartoon sounds .You will be surprised never played style .When you heard the strong parts of the songs you listen an amazing virtuoso guitar solos and some realy funny cartoon sounds.Thia ia a must for the musicians and the listeners who wawnt to listen something different from the other crap.Very strong session music and the musicians syncronized very well

check this album and also check the Todd Duane site.

Michael Angelo Batio “2 X Again” CD

2 X Again” features songs from MAB’s classic “No Boundaries” and “Planet Gemini” CDs re mixed, re mastered and the drums performed by young drum virtuoso Joe Babiak. Also included are various interludes and demos recorded during the “No Boundaries” sessions that are a “must have” for MAB fans. The mix and production of “2 X Again” are amazing. Chris Djuricic (“HWS” CD) tracked the drums and mixed the entire CD. James Murphy (ex Testament, Death guitarist) mastered the CD. The cover photo was taken by Stephen Jensen and the CD artwork and graphics were designed by Paul Kuhr.

25 Jazz Progressions by Michael Angelo Batio” DVD

25 Jazz Progressions by Michael Angelo Batio” DVD

“Hands Without Shadows”® series Vol. 2

This DVD features all 25 of the Jazz Progressions in several forms. Scorch files, On Screen TAB and most importantly the 25 Jazz Progressions booklet in a PDF file. With the booklet in the PDF file, you can easily print the Jazz Progressions from your computer.

We strongly recommend that you print the booklet before attempting the progressions. You will find this booklet invaluable as you can see the chord charts and familiarize yourself with the advanced, sonic textures and concepts of Jazz.

Michael does not appear in this DVD but performed all 25 of the Jazz Progressions.

The Jazz Progressions are great exercises for several reasons. First, they are extremely hard to master and will give your fret board hand a great workout. Secondly, the Jazz Progressions will introduce you to the sounds of Jazz.

The 25 Jazz Progressions by Michael Angelo Batio will give you hours and hours of practice and will arm you with valuable tools to use and shape your own playing.

The 25 Jazz Progressions program was produced by
M.A.C.E. Music and Metal Method Productions.

The 25 Jazz Progressions program was transcribed and notated by Sarah Spisak. Sarah also assisted in the editing and was in charge of overseeing the entire project. Doug Marks directed and edited the program.
