Pin this one on rock legend and former Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes. 5 years after first working together on Hughes 2003 release, 'Songs In the Key of Rock', long-time Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, guitar star Jeff Kollman, multi-faceted keyboardist Ed Roth, along with Motor City bass ace Kevin Chown, are now striking out on their own, together as one, in what is easily one of the most accomplished and exciting instrumental outfits to emerge some time: Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats.



Four master musicians joining forces, each bringing to the table a unique background and a plethora of influences, creating a new sonic experience that fuses everything from classic rock, old school funk and 70's R&B, to vintage fusion and even oriental flavors.




The group's forthcoming debut album sounds as uncalculated and spontaneous as are the MEATBATS' accidental beginnings: "Whenever I would jam with Ed and Chad at Glenn Hughes rehearsals, we would mess around and warm up with some Jeff Beck kind of stuff", recalls Kollman. "One day Chad said, "hey, we should do something like this!" Next thing you know we're in the studio making a record! I called my buddy (Kevin) Chown on the day of the recording session. Kevin came in and saved the day - we got five tunes down that first day! And the rest is history!"

Ο Greg Howe είναι σήμερα ένας από τους σημαντικότερους κιθαρίστες της fusion μουσικής.
Συνεχώς ενεργός σε διάφορα μουσικά projects εντυπωσιάζει με το παίξιμό του το διεθνές ακροατήριο.
Η δισκογραφική του δουλειά με τη συμμετοχή των Dennis Chambers και Victor Wooten τον καθιέρωσε πολύ περισσότερο στη συνείδηση του κοινού.
Πρίν από αυτήν φυσικά υπήρχαν άλλα cd και συνεργασίες με μουσικούς όπως ο "πολύς" Michael Jackson.
Κιθαρίστας με ανεξάντλητες δυνατότητες και υψηλή τεχνική αναμένεται να μας προσφέρει δυνατή μουσική ένταση στις παραστάσεις του στο ΑΘΗΝΑ΄ Live.
Μαζί του ο επί 10ετία drummer των Yellow Jackets, ο εκπληκτικός Will Kennedy.
Στο ηλεκτρικό μπάσο ο Rufus Philpot, ο μπασίστας που θαυμάσαμε τη χρονιά που μας πέρασε μαζί με το group του Virgil Donati και στα keyboards ο Dennis Hamm ένας από τους καλύτερους Jazz πιανίστες, σήμερα.

Gary moore play HENDRIX

The Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey theatrical screening and 40th anniversary all-star tribute concert featuring Gary Moore (guitar) and surviving Jimi Hendrix and the Experience - Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (bass), is still going full steam ahead at the Hippodrome (in London's Leicester Square) on Thursday October 25th. A screening of Jimi's legendary Monterey performance will start at 7:45pm, followed by the all-star tribute concert at 9pm.



The Hippodrome event dovetails the October 29th release of "Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey: Definitive Edition DVD, CD and HD DVD which features the new Jimi Hendrix documentary "American Landing". The Monterey Pop Festival footage celebrates the 40th anniversary of Hendrix's 1967 US debut with his band 'Jimi Hendrix and the Experience'.



The screening will be followed by a live concert performed by an all-star band featuring surviving Jimi Hendrix and The Experience musicians Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (bass), plus Gary Moore (guitar), Dave Bronze (bass) and Primal Scream's Darrin Mooney (drums). The theatrical screening and concert will be mixed by Jimi Hendrix's original recording engineer, Eddie Kramer.

The live cinecast that was supposed to be beamed to over 20 VUE cinemas across the UK will no longer happen. Instead, an edited down version of tomorrow evening's Hippodrome screening and all-star tribute concert will be shown in selected UK cinemas a week later.
